During the harsh winter months in Boston, my friends and I were already scheming up warm weather summer adventures as we trudged through dreary snow-covered sidewalks. After six months of back and forth planning, we finally checked off one of our summer highlights: the Greenwich Polo Club.
Seeing a polo match has been on my college bucket list for quite some time and has easily become one of my favorite outings of the season. The game itself is intense, fast-paced, and riveting, but the atmosphere among the bystanders is equally entertaining. Everyone is dressed in their Sunday best to watch the game, but most of the action actually happens off the field as everyone mingles amongst each another, creating a sea of crisp summer whites and elaborate wicker picnic set-ups (which may or may not include a bottle of Moët and blue and white china teacups!). It's quite a spectacle to be seen and a truly lovely way to spend a leisurely summer afternoon.
