Autumn at the Arnold Arboretum

For years, I've heard the Arnold Arboretum is one of Boston's best spots to see fall foliage in it's prime. Unfortunately, the weekend I decided to go was bitterly cold and most of the leaves had been fallen a few days earlier! Nevertheless, it was still beautiful to see the expansive public park (which is operated in partnership with Harvard and the city of Boston) blanketed in golden leaves. I'm really looking forward to coming back in the spring to see the cherry blossoms and to explore all 281 acres of it!

The J.Crew waxed jacket I'm wearing is a piece I bought a few years ago and recently uncovered from some of my storage boxes. I was also tickled to find Malia Obama wearing it a few days later at the official Thanksgiving turkey pardon. With layering, it's truly a great piece for rainy days and "damp" autumn weather, although I'm afraid it looks like autumns days are numbered…
