July 4th Ramble

This July 4th weekend was chock-full of adventures!
I don't think I stopped once during the three day weekend and am currently on a vacation hangover thinking about all of the excursions. From leisurely walks through Central Park, to high tea at Bergdorf Goodman, a quick jaunt to Connecticut, and so many other mini adventures, my mind is actually a bit of a blur as I sit here sorting through thousands of photos and memories...

To celebrate the 4th, my friend and I went for a "hike" through Central Park's best hidden gem: The Ramble. I actually stumbled upon the Ramble by accident walking to work one day and naively thought it seemed like an interesting detour. Little did I know, it's a 36 acre "wild garden" in the middle of Central Park near the Belvedere Castle is full of winding paths that make the area feel ab it like a maze. Although full of artificial streams, the area feels miles away form the hustle and bustle of the city and is home to tons of wild plants, including trees that have been in there since the Ramble was created in 1859.

What did you do this past weekend?
