NYFW F/W 2015

Last week, I had my first taste of NYFW. A dream for so many years, it was an amazing and eye-opening experience getting to help behind the scenes for Katie Gallagher's show at Pier 59. While I took the bus in and out on the same day (and didn't get to return to help a different show because of the blizzard), it was a surreal, whirlwind adventure seeing how a fashion show comes together. From painting the runway an hour before the show started, to running water to the fatigued models, and watching countless makeup artists, stylists, publicists, lighting, and backstage crew come together to backstage chaos into such effortless beauty.

The collection was based on simple but edgy silhouettes featuring a lot of black with pops of bold red. The line was truly bewitching with oversized hoods and long flowing capes that seemed to captivate everyone in the room.
