Bramble's Tea Room

Things have been really crazy since I moved in last weekend for sophomore year! I feel like I've been running around like crazy this week picking up books, grocery shopping, and catching up with old friends plus the fact that I'm overloading and taking some tough classes this semester!

I haven't had time to post much, but I found this overlooked post from home during the summer that I thought would be great for a Throwback Thursday!

While I've learned to love coffee in college, I'm still a tea girl through and through. Iced, with sugar, without milk, hot, green, or black, you name it and I'll drink it. I can attest that tea always tastes better when served in china. Instead of stopping by Starbucks the other day, I had tea and scones at the charming Brambles Tea Room with my mom. When I think about the elegant ceremony and history associated with tea time, I can't help but secretly wish I was British so I could frequently invite friends over for afternoon tea and not seem like an old lady or a five year old. Maybe it's a good thing though; I'd definitely need to learn the proper etiquette and manners!

I bought a blend of their lavender tea that was simply delicious and I had to ration myself.

If you could invite five famous people to tea who would it be?

  1. I love tea too! When I was living in London there was a tea shop called Tea and Tattle not far from where I was staying. It was my favorite place to hangout and grab a quick but sophisticated lunch. You could order tea for one which included a pot of tea of your choice, a scone and jam, your choice of sandwich, and a small slice of cake. It was to die for! The tea room you went to looks completely adorable!

    1. I would LOVE to have tea in London one day. I can't imagine how fun it would be!

  2. Oh this is so darling!! Love me a good tea room (actually, most tea rooms for that matter...) :)
