On my recent trip to NYC, I stopped by the Meatpacking District to visit the offices of Giorgio Armani. My friend B was lucky enough to have had a summer internship there this summer, so of course I jumped at the chance to take a tour of the offices! All I can say is that the showrooms were everything I imagined them to be since I'm such a pro after seeing the Devil Wears Prada a billion times!;-)
After our tour, we decided to walk on the High Line, which the office is quite literally located next to. I'd never been before and didn't know what exactly to expect from a converted rail line turned greenway park, but it was spectacular! The converted mile long park is innovative and relaxing with lots of great views of the Hudson River and even the Empire State Building. It's also located above Chelsea Market, which is a block long building of indoor food halls with restaurants and merchants selling everything from seafood to cupcakes, sandwiches, spices, tea, and ice cream!
It's a foodie heaven.
