Summer Tourist Adventures: Sanibel Island & Captiva Part Two

In my last post, I talked about Sanibel Island and Captiva being like the Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket of Florida. Originally used by pirates (hence, the name), tourists can also expect the same charming qualities found in Nantucket like no stoplights, bike paths, and miles of wildlife parks.   Captiva is also home to a handful of exclusive private homes and beaches that are personally named like the houses in Siasconset. Whether you're a tourist or local Floridian, Captiva proves to be a fun place for a weekend getaway or quick day trip.

The cutest restaurant, the Mad Hatter!

Christmas in Florida?;-)
