Trip to the MFA

Last weekend, my class took a field trip to the MFA to study some of the paintings we had been studying. Personally, I love art and believe the MET has to be my all time favorite place in the world. I had to wake up early on a Saturday morning (sleeping in on weekends is the only way you survive in college), but it was a great experience having our professor practically guide our own little tour, and clearly I wasn't the only one who enjoyed it considering we constantly had lingering adults trying to listen in on our tour.;-)

After our class discussion, I then stayed to explore the rest of the exhibits and collections.
Obviously, I was super excited to see the Hippie Chic Fashion Collection, inspired by the
MET's Punk Couture Exhibit this summer.

Sunnies: Kate Spade | Clutch: Kate Spade | Scarf: Target

The Hippie Chic Fashion Exhibit will be showing at the MFA until the beginning of November.
Even if you're not into the whole hippie, bohemian look, many of looks weren't just flowery,  retro patterns, daisy crowns, and fringe vests. Some of the dresses and outfits were quite structured and very modern looking. Some were even designed by couture designers like Yves Saint Laurent.

I can't wait for our class to go back at the end of this month!

  1. I love art museums! Especially when they have fashion exhibits :) Love your glasses, by the way.

P.S. I'd love it if you would visit my blog, Sarah's Real Life!
