Dorm Style

So far college has been great although I do miss home.
But, getting to decorate my dorm and making it feel more like a "home" has been fun!

We pretty much bought everything I needed before I moved and shipped it to Boston. I had ten boxes and two suitcases plus tons and tons and tons of clothes. My dad was pretty sure I would be have to ship back some stuff, but my room was actually bigger than I had expected and with a lot of useful storage.

Right now it's pretty hot in Boston and our dorm has no air conditioning (#dying),
but I have some fall clothes stored under the bed when the cool air starts to make its way in.
And I still have some room for storage!;-)

I got my bedding at the beginning of the summer (I love the monogram pillow although I
chose to just get my first name!) and made the bow pillow as one of my summer DIY projects. I picked up the vintage postcards while thrifting in Ohio.

although my bulletin board is definitely a work in progress!

The Paris mug was also another summer DIY project as well as some of my

I really like my dorm and think it's actually quite cozy!
Now if I could keep my kitten, life would be amazing...

    1. Thank you SO much Megan! I really kind of love my dorm and definitely think decorating it helps make it seem more "homey"! I'm so glad I took the time to do so many DIY projects this summer.:)

  2. So cute!! Welcome to the Bean! It'll only be hot here for a bit longer-- when I was in college, as soon as we got to mid-October and Indian Summer was over, I shipped pretty much all of my warm-weather clothes home to save closet space. It'll warm up in the spring again only about a week or maybeeee two before the school year is over, so you don't need much :)

    1. I am LOVING Beantown so far! It's already starting to cool off today and I am so excited for fall but I know I'll be missing this heat come November! I have some of my fall clothes packed under my bed for now and am sure a box of shorts and tank tops will be going home soon!;-)
