The Open & Closed Doors in Life

It is exactly fifty days today until I move to Boston to start my college career.
As exciting as that sentence sounds and as anxious as I am for the count down to be over,
I still feel a bit bittersweet as I officially leave behind my childhood.
Naturally, a part of me feels sad to leave behind my family, my friends, my home, my closet (lol),
and everything about my life I know like the back of my hand.

As you get prepared to leave, you start to realize the true meaning behind a "comfort zone" as well as savoring home cooked meals and appreciating your mom doing your laundry.
You realize some of the things you once did will now be over, sparse, or continued.
But you also eventually realize that as one door closes, another opens.

You realize your thoughts will change, your character will deepen, and your opportunities will grow.
You realize you will try and experience things you want to know and do,
and things you don't even know you want to know and do.
And then you realize you're going to chase and live your dreams
and open and close more doors again.
Life is a succession of open and close doors.
All it takes is a little courage to enter and exit them.
