Gone Antiquing

A long time ago we went antiquing in Ohio. I was going through a very serious sock monkey
addiction phase and was bound and determined I was going to find one while at Annie's Attic.
I almost gave up hope after much searching, but then I saw a teeny tiny vintage sock monkey Christmas
ornament hanging on the wall. Needless to saw I promptly bought it and it has been hanging on my bulletin board in my room ever since.

Anyways, that was the one and only time I ever got the chance to go antiquing and I have still yet
to go thrifting for clothes (which is on my college bucket list). This summer, I made sure we took the
time to go back to Annie's Attic to go antiquing again. It was a lot of fun getting to see such a variety of vintage goods. Being older I definitely understood and appreciated it more.

While I was aimlessly walking the aisles I stopped at a corner full of boxes of postcards. From Greece to Italy to American Presidents to California, the boxes were all labeled with different categories. After flipping through the postcards, I was amazed at how old some of them were upon closer examination. One of them from Paris was from 1908! How crazy is that?!! It was intriguing to read the messages on the back of them and daydream about who the message writer and recipient were and what their lives were like. Maybe that's just the writer in me though?

After about twenty minutes of intense decision making, I scooped up a bunch from all of my favorite places in the world like London, Paris, Boston, and NYC and I decided I would hang them in my dorm room as wall art! I recently also got an amazing Eiffel Tower wall decal that will fit the theme perfectly too.

It's getting closer to college move in day!
Only one month! (eek!)
